An 18th century needlework sampler "Wright's map of Cornwall" by Mary Roberts of Truro, dated 1785 recto, label with further details verso, 37cm x 52cm, within an ebonized and gilt frame. Note: a rare single county sampler map worked at Miss Warren's Ladies Boarding School, the Green, Truro. Two other "Wright's map of Cornwall" samplers are known, both bearing a Miss Warren's School inscription.
