The Second World War in 6 volumes, Cassel & Co London , bound in red morocco by Bumpus, gilt lined with Persian Lion and Sun motif to centre cover, gilt book block, 8vo, Vol I - The Gathering Storm, signed and dated 1955, 2nd ed. 1949, Vol II - Their Finest Hour, initialled WSC, 3rd ed. 1951, Vol III - The Grand Alliance, initialled WSC, 1st ed. 1950, Vol IV - The Hinge of Fate, initialled WSC, 1st ed, 1951, Vol V - Closing The Ring, initialled WSC, 1st ed, 1952, Vol VI - Triumph & Tragedy, initialled WSC, 1st ed, 1954.

Included is a letter dated 14 January 1947 on Chartwell headed paper signed by Churchill to F. Burrows of the Law firm Nicholl, Manisty, Few and Co thanking the recipient for a 5000 pound cheque and their services. 

Provenance - The books were given to the vendors Grandfather by Winston Churchill as thanks for legal services undertaken when the vendors grandfather was a legal clerk at Nicholl, Manisty and Co Solicitors.
