  • **Oscar Nemon (1906-1985) - "Married Love" (Sir Winston Churchill and Clementine Ogilvy Spencer Churchill, Baroness Spencer-Churchill), cast bronze, number five from the edition of fifteen, signed and editioned, 44.5cm wide x 24cm high x 23cm deep.  Note: After the full-scale work now installed in the grounds of Chartwell, Winston Churchill's home in Kent, "Married Love" was created in 1978 at Lady Churchill's request. Captivated by Nemon's earlier portrayal of her husband at Westerham Green, she remarked, "This is how I see him and that is how I love him." Lady Churchill agreed to sit for Nemon at her London residence, enabling him to incorporate her likeness alongside Churchill's in the final sculpture ** Please Note - Artists Re-Sale Rights may be payable on this lot
