A 19th Century rectangular carved oak stool marked Foudroyant, on turned supports 23cm h x 30cm w x 21cm d  £150-200

HMS Foudroyant an 80-gun ship, was one of Admiral Nelson's flag ships and this stool is purportedly made from its timbers. Foudroyant had a long and successful career, and although not involved in any major fleet action, she provided invaluable service to numerous admirals throughout her 17 years on active service. In her last years she became a training vessel for boys. Slight crack to top
