An HMV model 194 upright re-entrant tone chamber gramophone in mahogany cabinet, fitted a 5a soundbox, gilt "Selfridge, London" retailers mark to cabinet, gilt fixtures throughout (tonearm, platter, needle cups, speed adjuster, hinges). Complete with a box of additional items including numerous tins and boxes of needles, two boxed HMV Instantaneous Speed Testers, HMV wood and green velvet cleaner, An HMV No 5A Sound Box in original box, an Auto Record cleaner in original box, an HMV No 5A Fibre Needle Cutter in box with original Instructions and a Goldring "Juwel-Electro" soundbox. The cabinet is in excellent condition, HMV gilt label appears pristine, retailers mark is worn, pitting to tonearm, grill and latticework in excellent order, speed adjuster appears to work though indicator needle does not, crank arm present along with tape needles (steel and fibre). This Gramophone has been very well looked after though is from a smoking home.
