A gentleman's Victorian 18ct yellow gold mechanical key wind pocket watch, with enamelled back, the movement engraved T J Mercer of Coventry numbered 1878, contained in a 50mm case, London 1872, gross weight 107 grams SOLD £1300

The watch intermittently works, the dial is chipped and cracked and the enamelling has been repainted. The glass is missing. The inner dust cover is hallmarked 18ct. There are no personalised inscriptions. The case is 50mm and free from dents.
