An Edwardian oval Georgian style inlaid mahogany tea caddy/trinket box with hinged lid and swag decoration, 6 1/2" ILLUSTRATED SOLD £700

There is a small section of veneer missing from the bottom back left and a section of veneer rising on the lid. There is some lifting to the banding around the top of the caddy and the bottom of the lid. There are several small scratches to the front and the lid does not quite sit correctly, leading us to believe that the hinge has been changed from a longer single hinge to 2 smaller hinges placed next to each other. The cloth to the underside is also loose and the base to the interior slopes upwards from left to right.
