Barnes Wallis' facsimile copy of the 617 Squadron Grant of Arms granted in March 1944. The badge symbolises the successful attack on the dams in May 1943 with the lightning flashes symbolising the three dams attacked. The French motto "Apres Moi Le Deluge" translating as "After me the flood".
