Lot 152
A 19th Century French oval repeating and striking carriage clock, case marked Royal Mersey Yacht Club July 7 1873 Elaine W G Jameson £300-500 ILLUSTRATED

The clock is in good overall order. There is a dent to the brass on the top right handside. There are contact scratches etc to the glass panels but there are all complete and none are broken. The brass casing is engraved all over and the wording is actually the Royal Mersey Yacht Club, not Mercier as listed. The clock has the wrong key as it does not fit the movement winder. The clock has had a replacement platform but is in good order and does strike.
