An Egyptian silver presentation key in presentation box marked Gaza-Bab.El.Wad-Neby Samwil 75div 25.6.1917-1918, 24g, contained in a Goldsmiths and Silversmiths leather and silver mounted presentation case, the lid marked Presented to Major General Sir Philip C Palin by HQ Staff, 75th Division on The First Anniversary of The Formation of The Division Palestine 25th June 1918  £100-150

The 75th Division was an infantry division of the British Army in World War I. It was raised in the field by the Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF) in 1917 and it included British, Indian and South African troops, they served in the Middle East during the Sinai and Palestine campaign being involved in the Battles of Megiddo.
