Lot 175h
A handsome Victorian Coromandel writing slope, the lid with gilt embellishments and inset "Sevres" panels, with well fitted interior £150-200

This lot is in good overall order although there are faults and repairs. All of the ceramic panels are in good condition, one of the additional images looks as if the main centre panel has a hairline crack, this is not the case, it is old sellotape which has dried out and left a residue on the panel. All of the brasswork seems to be complete and in good order. The box is made by Mordan of London. All of the hinges are engraved and in good condition although the rear left hand hinge has a split running along the wood as shown in the additional image. There are a couple of areas to the top right hand side of the box that has patched repairs to the inlay and a couple of areas to the base and back where there are strips where the venner is damaged. The interior of the box is in very good order.
