A handsome 19th Century French 8 day repeating carriage clock with gilt metal dial striking on a gong, contained in a gilt metal case, the dial marked James Crichton Paris, the reverse marked EM & Co, complete with leather carrying case £500-700

The clock is in good condition overall. All of the gilding is in good order. The clock movement appears to be working but it does need a very good clean. The only obvious fault is that the top handle is rather loose but this can be remedied by tightening the internal bolts.
