Lot 187
A 19th Century French 8 day striking mantel clock contained in a "Sevres" blue porcelain O shaped case, with gilt metal mounts to the base and with cypher mark, 16" SOLD £560

Overall, the clock is in fair condition, it is very detailed but there is damage. The gilding is rubbed in places. The base is missing a few of the white beads to the border and the centre of the base is missing the majority of the blue beading, aswell as the roundell at the back of the base. The back of the movement is marked 5356. The gilt is cracked to the front top part of the top and there are 2 chips and cracks to the back, halfway down the neck at the first gilt ring. There are some very small chips to the edge of the right winding hole.
