A 19th Century French 8 day mantel clock contained in a gilt ormolu case with porcelain dial and porcelain plaque decorated reclining figures £100-150

We do not believe that this case is gilt ormolu but is actually gilt spelter. It is in very good condition overall. There are some minor chips to the dial around the winding holes. It winds and teh movement appears to move but we cannot comment on its timekeeping. However, it does not strike on the bell as it is positioned too low. The movemnet is marked RC 3154.
