A pair of 19th Century English Royal Navy blue and white transfer print plates decorated with a border of Queen Victoria young head and naval scenes enclosing Mess no.1 and Mess no.4, 24cm

Condition report

The Mess No 1 plate has a 2' hairline crack and several chips to the rim, one of which has had amateur repair. The Mess No 4 plate does not have a visible crack but does not ring true. Both has some minor wear to the transfer decoration.
