Edward Box of Chichester, a late George III oak longcase clock, having a 12" broken arch Arabic and Roman silvered dial, set second subsidiary dial within foliate engraved spandrels, set an 8 day two train movement, lacking bell. The case with broken arched hood above a shaped and moulded trunk door, plinth base 84"h x 20"w

The case is very worn with many small splits to the timber. The case has been reduced in height at the base. The capitals to the columns have been replaced . The minute hand has been broken and repaired. It is missing the bell. The movement is associated to the dial, which is in poor condition being both cracked and worn. Overall, the clock is in rather poor order throughout.
