Barwise, London. A late George III mahogany and amboyna lancet cased bracket clock, parcel ebonised, having Roman silvered dial with second subsidiary dial, set 8 day repeating twin fusee movement with dead beat escapement striking bell, signed to back plate 17.5"h x 11"w x 7"d SOLD £3300

The case is generally, in very good condition although it does have a replacement lock on the back door. It has a good patina with just a few light scuffs and dents. The dial is in very good order. The winding arbours line up well and there is no heavy wear or scratches. The movement is very clean in appearance, it is signed to the back plate and the bell and pendulum are present. There is one extraneous hole to the back plate - threaded on the left hand edge approx 2 1/2" up from the corner.
