A Regency "Cary's New Terrestrial Globe", Exhibiting The Late Discoveries Towards the North Pole, dated March 15th 1821, having calibrated brass meridian ring with annular and zodiacal horizon ring, raised on 4 baluster turned legs united by stretchers, 18" diam. x 18"h ILLUSTRATED FRONT COVER SOLD £1900

First impressions of this lot are good, the globe is in good order overall with no obvious damage. However, on closer inspection, there is a repaired crack running from the equator down to the South pole with considerable over painting. There are a few tiny patches of paper loss and there are some chips to the extremities.
