A late 19th Century Swiss cylinder orchestral musical box (likely Bremond circa 1880), comprising 4 polychrome painted Mandarin figures, 3 figures playing a pair of saucer bells and the other shaking a bell tree, together with a separate automata drum (missing three beaters), play and repeat lever, start and stop lever, lever to stop drum, lever to raise bell tree, having a 41.5cm cylinder playing 8 airs. All contained in a figured walnut, ebonised and inlaid case with glass dust cover and mother of pearl escutcheon, label to base "A Kuss Clock & Watchmakers Newcastle", 30.5cm h x 71cm w x 35cm d  £1000-1500

The drum is missing two of seven beaters, one beater is detached, the main musical mechanism operates, automata all move, the lid is warped, there is minor rust and paint loss throughout
