A Victorian yellow gold oval brooch, (possibly ex pendant), with an oval cut amethyst 25mm x 17cmm x 10mm deep, surrounded by 27 brilliant cut diamonds (1 replaced), approx. 1.5ct, surmounted by a ribbon crest, with a 9ct replaced pin, gross weight 13 grams SOLD £2000

There is some later lead work to the reverse, the pin is replaced and 1 diamond has been replaced. The diamonds have slightly yellowed diamonds and they have inclusions visible to the eye. The amethyst has a tiny chip to one facet and some minor scratches.
