Frank Hampson (1918 - 1985). The original storyboard artwork for Dan Dare from The Eagle comic front cover vol. 10 no. 25. Watercolour on board from the story series "Terra Nova". These were among the last artworks by Frank Hampson for the Eagle and Dan Dare coinciding with the 1959 printers strike. Hampson was a British Illustrator and creator of Dan Dare.

Condition report

There are small tears to the edges of the board. The board has yellowed with age. There is smudging around the borders of the boards and tape marks. Pencil marks and lettering indicate printing instructions. The colours of the artwork are bright. Board is wrapped in protective cellophane.
