Overall the painting is in good order, although there are areas of spotting and also areas of light scratching to the sky at the top right. There are a few areas of cloud that look as if they may have been retouched although they do not show under a UV light. It has been relined. It has a previous auction room stamp on one of the bearers. The frame is undamaged apart from gilt rubbing on the frame. The painting appears to have been stored in a damp place as there is discolouration and mould spores to the reverse.
