An 18th Century oval portrait miniature of a gentleman, on copper, inscribed on verso "Portrait of Capt (Charles) Brown (1678-1753) Porto Bello" 9cm x 7.5cm Captain Brown a renowned Naval Officer served during the Nine Years War and Wars of the Spanish Succession, Quadruple Alliance and Austrian Succession.
