A pair of Wealden style pottery figures of birds incorporating whistles, 7", f and r, ILLUSTRATED SOLD £60

The birds are crazed all over and there are some chips to the glaze on the beaks. Bird 1 has a chip to the glaze next to the lower bird on the left, chips to the glaze around the mouthpiece and the top bird on the right has been restored. Bird 2. There are chips to the glaze around the mouthpiece and chips to the glaze on the knobbly bits at the base on the back. The top bird on the left is missing the tail and the top bird on the right has been broken and poorly restored.
