Lot 500
A pair Victorian Staffordshire figures of lions with glass eyes raised on rectangular plinths 26cm SOLD £50

The left hand lion is in very good order. There are no cracks or chips although the lion is crazed all over. This lion does not to be quite as well produced as the right hand lion as there are textural marks to the body and the glazing to the mane is not as dark. The right hand lion sadly has a crack which runs from the centre front of the body horizontally across and rising at an angle across the tail. It also has a chip to the rim of the underside edge (which cannot be seen when it is placed standing. The lion is crazed all over but has no other chips. There are no signs of restoration to either of the lions.
