A late 19th century Staunton wooden chess set, all contained in a fitted mahogany box with hinged lid marked Staunton Chessmen

Both black rooks have a split to the base, 1 black knight has a split to the base, 1 black Bishop has damage to the top and finial missing, King has a split to base, 1 black pawn has damage to the collar, 1 white Bishop has slight blemish to top, white Kings cross to crown is damaged, the box has a split to the lid. The Kings are 9cm high and the bases of the pieces are weighted.
