Lot 522
A 19th Century Continental Majolica table centre piece in the form of 2 quails beneath an oak arbour, the base with impressed fish mark and 1204, 13" (some damage and amateur restoration) £100-150

Sadly, this lot has a fair amount of damage. There is no restoration but in order to try and disguise the damage the chipped edges have been overpainted with a green which does not match the rest of the glazing. All of the chips can be seen in the attached images and all are to the leaves and the extremities of the piece. There is damage to one of the figures of the quails, there is a chip to one of the beaks. The other figure is in good order. The centrepiece is stamped to the underside with an oval stamp of two fish. It is also impressed 1204.
