A Victorian striking bracket clock, the 7 1/2" arch brassed dial with gilt metal spandrels and silvered chapter ring, contained in an arched mahogany and metal mounted case with gilt metal embellishments, the movement striking on 2 gongs, 24"h x 13 1/2"w x 8 1/2"d SOLD £400

The escapement is slightly sticky. The back plate is marked, "Fabric Mark". To the case, some veneer is cracked on the front door and there is a large crack to the veneer on the clocks left hand side, above the grille. The fabric to both grilles is worn and split. Some of the numerals rubbed to the dial. The clock is complete with pendulum and key.
