Report of the R.101 Inquiry booklet, London His Majesty's Stationery Office 1931, paper bound booklet, 122pp, the cover signed B.N. Wallis. With Wallis' multiple critical marginal notes throughout.  £300-400

The R.101 was a ‘rival’ Airship to Wallis’ R.100, its staff having being appointed by the Air Ministry. The R.101 crashed over France on its maiden voyage to India on 5th October 1930 killing 48 people on board. The crash effectively ended Airship development in Britain due to the perceived risks.
