R & J Beck London, a 19th Century brass binocular microscope by R J Beck No.6308 contained in a well fitted mahogany case enclosing a cased set of accessories/lenses, together with a mahogany box with hinged lid containing additional lenses and accessories SOLD £2300

This lot measure 56 1/2 cms when fully extended. There are some minor spots of corrosion on the base and the slide tier. There is some pitting over the whole of the brass case. The mirror on the base is cracked. All the moving parts seem to be running smoothly.
