An interesting scrap album comprising mainly late Victorian watercolours by a soldier, most paintings are of English scenery though several are from Egypt Sudan - one titled "Ambigole Wells 1 June 85 looking E from my tent", Ambigole Wells in Sudan was a British army post during the Mahdist War (1881-1899), another portrait of a Sudanese Rebel titled "14 June 1884 Rebel Uniform Karnalen? R Bray". The album also contains a group photo of The Officers of The 65th Regiment Khandala January 1881, a group of Victorians in costume titled "The Jacobite 15th December 1819 Bideford", together with photos of soldiers in repose and on horse back
