A 1950's cast aluminium and enamelled circular boundary sign for Haltemprice, 87cm x 91cm (Haltemprice Urban District Council was created in April 1935 as a result of the Local Government Review Order. It was formed out of the former Cottingham and Hessle Urban Districts and part of Sculcoates Rural District. The Council functioned until it was disbanded under Local Government reorganisation in March 1974 following the Local Government Act 1972)
