A Victorian .577 calibre Enfield 2-band carbine, lock plate stamped TOWER 1858 and crowned VR, the 33 inch barrel with proof marks and elevating ladder sight, walnut stock with brass fittings (missing timber to forearm) with possibly later steel ramrod. SOLD £120

The hammer does not stay back, there is missing timber to the end barrel end of the stock and the ram-rod does not fit properly. The barrel has not been rifled. There is some surface corrosion to all metal parts.
