Lot 569
A Meissen cased French 8 day striking mantel clock with Roman numerals and enamelled dial contained in an allegorical porcelain case depicting the four seasons, firing crack to base, with crossed sword mark, 17" ILLUSTRATED SOLD £580

This lot is probably not Meissen but more likely to be Samson or Dresden. There are many small losses to the extremities and to the floral decoration. The cherub at the front centre has been broken off and repaired. There is a firing crack to the base. There is heavy rubbing to the gilding. The movement appears to be complete and in clean condition.
