A Victorian pottery motto jug, the reverse marked Horace Elliot, London 1891, the verse reads - And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter, 11" £20-30

The motto jug has a flat back. There is clear glaze to the verse on the front of the jug but not to the back. The verse adn inscriptions are as catalogued. The jug is in very good order throughout having no chips, cracks or other damage
