The skin is damaged, the drum requires attention. The Croydon Old Contemptibles were a local branch of the national Old Contemptibles' Association. Formed in 1925, the organisation united the survivors of the original British Expeditionary Force (BEF) of World War I, those who served in France and Flanders between August and November 1914.
