Of Railway Interest. A gentleman's 18ct yellow gold half hunter pocket watch with enamelled front case, seconds at 6 o'clock, the dust cover with presentation inscription L M & S R to W C Woods "Royal Scot" Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Boston, New York, Washington, Pittsburgh, Chicago, St Louis, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Detroit. 1933, With gratitude and appreciation from the directors L M and S R, hallmarked London 1932, gross weight 97.4 grams, the watch is in working condition, contained in a 49mm case, together with a LMS magazine dated January 1934 with a write up of the American trip of the Royal Scot mentioning "fitter Woods" and a booklet "The Royal Triumph of The Royal Scot" and photocopied ephemera SOLD £1300

The dial is slightly rubbed, there is a small dent and some slight wear to the enamelled ring on the front of the case. There are some minor scratches to the case. The dial cover release catch is loose. The watch is currently in working order.
