Johann Jacob Behr, a handsome pair of Dutch early 18th Century flintlock holster pistols, the 35cm Damascus barrels inlaid huntsman, hound and deer, the engraved locks signed I.I Behr, the heavily carved walnut stocks with gilt bronze butt caps decorated grotesques, the trigger guard with winged cherub, the side plates in the form of mythical beasts and the escutcheons with portrait busts of a Queen surmounted by a crown, 50cm overall SOLD £5200

These pistols are generally in good condition having no obvious damage, restoration or replaced parts. The hammers sits in cocked and half cocked positions well and release properly.
