Lot 620
A Chinese late Qing dynasty blue silk formal court robe ( Chi-fu or Dragon robe ), embroidered 8 five clawed dragons with flaming pearls, bats, clouds, auspicious symbols with a cut down Lushi hem the (remnants of which appear to to have be added to the sleeves), the dark burgundy lining partly decorated a colourful dragon. SOLD £1800

There is fraying in various places over the robe which has likely been refashioned for western wear. The Lushi Hem has been reduced (possibly due to damage) and has likely been appended to the sleeves. There is some loose stitching to the decoration in places.
