A pair of Portuguese Majolica pottery plates each decorated with a snake, frog, lizard and insects, the reverse impressed Jose A. Cunha Portugal 10" £200-300

Both of the plates are very good quality and have no damage at all to the fronts. Both are impressed to the reverse JOSE A CUNHA PORTUGAL CALDAS RAINHA in an oval surround. The plate which has the snake biting the lizard and also has butterfly with red colouring also has No 4 hand written to the reverse. This plate is in excellent condition having no obvious damage, chips, cracks or restoration. The other plate is also in very good order with no damage whatsoever to the front although it does have 2 chips to the back.
