A Chinese 19th Century embroidered blue silk Ch'i-fu "Dragon" robe, finely worked in gold couched thread, Peking knot and satin stitch with five-clawed writhing dragons pursuing a flaming pearl, amongst clouds, all above foaming waves and a broad lishui band at the hem, with dragon embroidered cuffs SOLD £6200

There is some staining above and below the central dragon on the front of the robe and to the left side of the interior. One of the dragons on the reverse has some loose threads of embroidery as does one on the left shoulder. There is some minor wear to the cuffs and collar but the lot is generally in good condition. The robe is 130cm long
