Lot 690
A Moorcroft yellow and green glazed vase decorated columbine, the base impressed Moorcroft England, circa 1950, 3" ILLUSTRATED SOLD £75

The vase itself is in very good order and has no cracks or chips or restoration. The glaze is lightly crazed all over. It is stamped to the base, as catalogued and the stamp is not marked through - it is not marked as a second. However, the vase has a small segment of green glazed pottery (the same colour as this vase)stuck to the base inside the body. As it is clearly not from this vase, we consider that during the firing process another pot has broken and a piece dropped into this vase and the glaze has stuck it to this one.
