Lot 727
An 18th Century Staffordshire lustre cow creamer 7" (f) and a Staffordshire figure of a seated bird 4" (f) £10-20

Starting with the cow creamer. This item is Very damaged. The tail has come off and the horns are missing. The base is broken with approx the front 1/3 missing. Where the base has been repaired there are obvious joins where the remaing large chips have been glued. The front left leg (as you look at it) has also been off when the base and has been repaired. The tail (I think, although it could be one of the horns) has been sellotaped by the vendor to the body of the cow and I wouldn\'t like to think how much of the pearlised glaze will lift when it is peeled off. The bird has also been broken and has restoration. The nest and the pen holders are both in good condition although the pen holders have small vertical cracks running down from the rim. The bird however, has been broken off and badly restored. The restoration is discoloured and lumpy, making is fairly obvious.
