Lot 733
We believe that the initial of the artist is J not F as originally listed. The painting is in very good condition with no holes or tears and no cracks or re-lining but there are a couple small sections where the paint is scuffed or lightly flaking, namely to the top right around the edge of the frame and to the top left hand side at the edge. The painting is quite dirty particularly to the bottom right. The painting has been protected as it is framed behind glass, however, the frame has at some time suffered with woodworm and there is lots of sawdust behind the glass. To the sky and clouds section, there is some bobbling but we cannot tell if this is lifting of the paint or if it is the texture the artist intended.
