Lot 75
An 18th Century honey oak dresser, the raised back with moulded cornice and fitted 3 shelves, the base fitted 3 long drawers above 4 long drawers, flanked by a pair of cupboards enclosed by panelled doors 59" ILLUSTRATED SOLD £1900

There is a fair amount of damage and change to this lot but it does not detract from this being a very handsome piece of furniture. There are 3 splits to the top of the base, the split furthest back travels the whole width of the base. The next crack forward runs from the mid point of the depth to approx 1/4 way across and the third crack runs from about 1/3 way back to approximately the middle of the top. The right hand split and the one that runs the whole way across are both quite open. The front of the front left foot has been replaced. Most of the handles are missing the collars but all of the handles have been replaced at some time or another. The top drawer to the central drawer section has had a later lock fitted which does not match the other locks and has meant that the handle has been moved down - leaving a hole where the previous handle was fitted. There is some damage to the cornice on both the left and right hand sides.
