Lot 764
Lot 764 is signed J pollard and a date which we cannot determine to the centre of the bottom (additional images attached). The code numbers to the reverse of the frame relate to a Sotheby\'s reference number when the pictures were taken there for investigation. They considered them to be by James Pollard, hence our original catalogue description. However as we have no proof of the artist and the one signature we can identify is J Pollard we have amended the catalogue description and are to sell the paintings a J Pollard oil paintings only. The painting is very dirty and there is some cracking to the paint. There is a large bit of paint missing ot the top right hand corner of the painting and it is showing the gesso underneath.
