Lot 765
Lot 765 is not signed as far as we can tell. The code numbers to the reverse of the frame relate to a Sotheby\'s reference number when the pictures were taken there for investigation. They considered them to be by James Pollard, hence our original catalogue description.However as we have no proof of the artist and the one signature we can identify is J Pollard we have amended the catalogue description and are to sell the paintings a J Pollard oil paintings only. This painting is very dirty and there is some cracking to the paint.
