Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a stereoscopic slide by Robert Howlett and George Downes. The arched photos featuring Brunel seated by the launching chains of the SS Great Eastern (then named The Leviathan). The card impressed bottom left The London Stereoscopic Company, the reverse with pink label marked "THE LEVIATHAN, STEAM SHIP" (handwritten "Mr Brunel" beneath) 84mm x 174mm
