Follower of Cesare da Sesto, a 16th Century oil on panel of Madonna with Child (Madonna dell'Albero), the reverse of the panel adzed, 44cm x 35cm

The panel has an 8cm crack at the top to the left of the Madonna's head, with some minor loss around it. There is are small areas of paint loss just above the child's head and above his ear. There are some minor scratches and craquelure throughout. There are some small chips to the frame. The lot has been entered by a local private vendor.
