An 18th Century Scots 8 day striking longcase clock, the 32 cm arched dial painted birds and with rose and thistle spandrels, marked Robert Darling of Edinburgh, with subsidiary second hand and calendar aperture, contained in an inlaid mahogany case with fluted columns to the sides, complete with weights and pendulum (no winding key) 223cm h

There is a repair to the pediment at the top, the case has been polished, there is sun bleaching to the long door and a split to the base of the trunk
